About the Event

The new Army Talent Alignment Process (ATAP) leverages a decentralized, regulated market-style hiring system to ensure near-term mission readiness and the long-term viability of the All-Volunteer Force. How can officers and units succeed in this new system? What is HRC doing to support both sides? Join COL Peter Hart, MAJ Delaney Brown, and MAJ Isaac Hedtke next Thursday (February 3, 2022) as they discuss these topics and more.

Delaney P. Brown, ATAP Action Officer, Army Talent Management Task Force.  MAJ Brown is responsible for adapting the theory of labor markets into the Army’s officer talent alignment process. She will discuss proposed improvements to market governance (PCS policies, board synchronization, market size) and the development of market incentives.

Peter G Hart, Chief of Plans, U.S. Central Command.  Prior to his current position, COL Hart was Chief of Joint Operational War Plans Division on the Joint Staff and has hired through the market since its inception. He will share how he screens resumes, prepares for interviews, and curates his final list of recommendations.

Isaac J. Hedtke, FA59 (Strategist) Career Manager, Human Resources Command. MAJ Hedtke is responsible for managing the Strategists and positions included in the market for each movement cycle. He also quality checks all algorithm-produced matches. He will speak about HRC’s role in this new personnel system.
